"Where the vision is one year, cultivate flowers. Where the vision is ten years, cultivate trees. Where the vision is eternity, cultivate society!"
- Oriental saying -

Obstacles and Challenges

With the political unrest in the country, people have been facing difficulties, economically, socially and security wise. Other major challenges that have been affecting our projects are:

  • No road transportation, expensive and irregular flights.
  • Unavailability of trained manpower due to illiteracy and lack of higher education.
  • Expensive commodities due to no road transportation.
  • Difficult to motivate community people due to traditional beliefs and culture.
  • No environment for teaching and learning due to lack of physical facilities.
  • Gender bias treatment in encouragement for girls to join school as they go to others house after marriage.
  • Though Humla has enormous possibilities in the tourism sector business, there is lack of physical infrastructure.
  • Mother and child mortality is very high, problems related to malnourishment and hygiene and sanitation due to lack of consciousness.
  • Human Development Index (HDI) is way less than that of the average national HDI.
  • Due to lack of appropriate market agro and animal farming products could not develop in an occupational way.
